The price we’ll charge you for developing your site is going to depend on how complex you need your site to be. We’ll work out the actual prices with you once we learn what the specific requirements of your design are, but to let you know what ballpark we’re in….
A simple site will run about $500.00. If you want a site to promote and memorialize a special event like a wedding, to serve as your online resume and/or a blog, then this is about what you can expect to pay. This includes custom how-to documents if you want them (to help you add content to your site once it’s up and running, etc), as well as important back-end things like security. Site Security is very important to us, so we use several premium plugins to help stop those hackers!
For something more elaborate that includes things like e-commerce, automated email marketing, or custom code, you’re somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500 – $2500. Keep in mind, you get everything that is in the basic package, plus whatever extras you need to give you the website of your dreams.
We might also identify things during the course of design that you’re going to need which have ongoing or one-time costs, like point of sale solutions or paid comment-spam blockers. We’ll let you know what your options are before we go ahead with any of those.
Actually creating the content is also something we to do. We have the training, professional experience, and equipment necessary to make high quality photos, video, and audio. We’ve also got the chops to do graphic design (logos, layouts and that sort of thing), and copy writing. We’ll work out the prices for that stuff with you too- we generally charge about $100 a day for these services.
When it comes to maintaining your site, we’ll provide you how-to documentation as a part of the design if you want to do it yourself. If you want us to do it, we’ll charge you $40 a month for the basics, which covers software updates, backups, and fixing things that break (who needs a broken website). If you want us to do things like regularly update content, create blog or social media posts, or make tweaks to the design, then it’s going to cost a bit more.
Also, we’re also very capable IT professionals- so if you need some general help in that area (like “I’ve got dancing buffalos in tutus on my screen! HELP!) we’ll be glad to work that out too.
Most importantly, we know what it’s like to be a small business owner of a new small business (we’ve been there too). If you look at the prices and your mouth drops open, don’t worry! We can set up payment plans until your business takes off like a rocket!
